Winholt Equipment Grows Sales Team

The manufacturer welcomes back Mike Carlson and hires Deanne Townsend, both as regional sales managers.

New York-based Winholt Equipment has expanded its sales team in the Northeast and Central regions of the country.

Mike Carlson has returned to the company as regional sales manager, Northeast foodservice. In his new position, he will oversee the sales strategy for the Northeast region, working closely with Winholt’s foodservice reps, Tri-Sate Marketing and SESCO. Carlson has 20-plus years of consultative sales experience and has worked in various positions, most recently as the national account manager at Seating Concepts, which has helped strengthen his relationships with certain chains.

Deanne Townsend has joined Winholt as regional sales manager—Central foodservice. In her new position, she will oversee the foodservice sales strategy in the territory, working closely with Winholt’s foodservice reps, Paragon Marketing and Redco Foodservice Equipment. Townsend has over 20 years of experience in the foodservice industry. Prior to joining Winholt, she was a manufacturers’ rep, with extensive knowledge of stainless fabrication, founded on her previous experience as a product manager for a custom stainless fabricator.

Carlson and Townsend will report directly to Mike Chick, vice president of sales at Winholt.
