Tony Roma’s Appoints First Female CEO

Mina Haque steps up from her role as interim CEO at the full-service brand.

This week, casual dining concept Tony Roma’s announced the appointment of its first female CEO, Mohaimina “Mina” Haque.

Haque has served as interim CEO and under her leadership, the brand says in a release it has embraced a renewed focus and reinvented itself as a “52-year-old startup.” It says it’s optimizing global operations, driving international growth and advancing innovative strategies to shape its future.

A seasoned attorney, Haque serves as the founder of The Law Office of Mohaimina Haque, PLLC. Since 2021, she has participated as Tony Roma’s outside counsel, managing global legal matters and providing strategic guidance. A member of the Forbes Business Council, Haque’s expertise in business and franchise law has helped drive the brand’s recent transformation.

As interim CEO, Haque focused on strategies that attracted a broader range of customers, reshaped the brand’s environmental, social and corporate governance initiatives, and laid the groundwork for Tony Roma’s future growth.

Tony Roma’s has its headquarters in Orlando, Fla., with locations in 20 countries.
