The foodservice equipment software brand Specifi is making it easier for commercial kitchen designers to create 3D renderings for clients and automate routine tasks with the launch of its software platform, Specifi Design, in the U.S.

The commercial kitchen design software platform, a plugin for AutoCAD or Revit, commonly has been used in Europe and the Middle East, and it’s now available in the U.S. market.

“There is simply nothing like this in the U.S. market, until now,” says Specifi Vice President of North American Sales Craig Foy in a press release. “Specifi Design will empower designers to take advantage of the post-pandemic boom the foodservice industry is starting to experience.”

With the platform, users can design in 2D and 3D and easily configure utilities and connections, edit equipment and add accessories. The platform includes updated e-catalogs of manufacturers’ products, which users can import into their own libraries, and SP Symbols, Specifi’s library of generic design elements.

The company also is introducing Specifi Quote, a flexible commercial kitchen quotation system that allows users to manage pricing, discounts and markups. Quotes can be imported from other platforms and instantly synchronized with a design.

“Specifi is dedicated to connecting all players of the foodservice industry together. Specifi Design and Quote are just part of the picture. We also have Specifi Organiser, a no-cost digital asset management system for manufacturers. Our customers use Specifi because they want to, not because they have to,” says Foy.

Editor’s note: Specifi is owned by Wolters-Althoff Investments, which also owns Foodservice Equipment Reports.
