Singer Acquires New York’s Joseph Flihan Co.

Singer Equipment Co. has expanded its reach across New York by acquiring the business of Joseph Flihan Co.

Based in Utica, N.Y., Joseph Flihan Co. has served the New York market for over 50 years. The new division will operate under the name Singer Flihan.

“As part of Singer, we will be able to continue our growth and bring benefits and opportunities to our customers and employees alike,” says Joe Flihan, president of Joseph Flihan Co., in the release. He will join Singer Flihan as president of the new division.

Singer says, with this acquisition, Singer Equipment is a more complete solution to customers and vendors in New York with offices in Buffalo, Syracuse, Utica, New York City and Melville, Long Island.

Last year, Singer Equipment, based in Elverson, Pa., acquired the business of Hotel & Restaurant Supply, helping expand its reach in the southeast.
