Jack in the Box Names Lance Tucker Its Permanent CEO
Tucker served as CFO at the company before stepping up as interim CEO in February.

Jack in the Box has named Lance Tucker its permanent CEO.
Tucker joined the company in November as CFO after previously holding the title from 2018-2020. In February, he stepped up as the company’s interim CEO. As part of the new role, Tucker will also serve on the company’s board of directors.
“Lance brings decades of experience within the restaurant industry as well as a financial mind into the CEO role that is well-timed to match with the company’s current priorities,” says Dave Goebel, Jack in the Box chairman of the board, in the release. “We are confident that Lance will position our company to perform at high levels, and drive returns that shareholders expect from our iconic brands and profitable business model.”
Dawn Hooper will continue to serve as interim principal financial officer until a permanent CFO is named.
Jack in the Box Inc., headquartered in San Diego, oversees about 2,200 Jack in the Box restaurants across 22 states and about 600 Del Taco restaurants across 17 states. Jack in the Box was represented at FER’s 2025 Multiunit Foodservice Equipment Symposium where Vice President of Operations Ali Nemat took part in a panel discussion on technology advancements.
