In Memoriam: Mike Jewett, of Strata GPO

Strata GPO has announced the unexpected loss of Mike Jewett, CEO.

Jewett joined Strata GPO as CEO in August 2022, bringing over 25 years of industry expertise and a proven track record of effective leadership.

“Under his guidance, he introduced meaningful innovation, reshaping the industry through strategic and impactful disruption,” Strata GPO says in the announcement. “His approach to success is rooted in a strong focus on people, processes, and industry-leading technology.”

Andrew Meyer will step in as interim CEO. Strata assures that operations will not be interrupted and the experience with the buying group will remain consistent.

Moving forward with a heavy heart, Meyer says he’s determined to build on the momentum Jewett started and to carry his vision into the future. “Strata has always been a strong team, and as Mike taught us, we will continue to lead with servant hearts,” Meyer says.

He adds, “Mike was a servant leader whose transformative vision elevated both our company and each of us individually. His energy and warmth built not only a great team but also genuine connections with everyone he encountered—including many of you.”

Strata also shared the following tribute: “Mike was a true Champion for the Collective and fully embodied the spirit of being ‘purple’—compassionate and courageous, an unwavering commitment to making the world a better place. He often said, ‘the best is yet to come’, and while he watches from above, we will continue to build upon his vision and legacy. The seeds he planted will continue to grow, flourish, and inspire us all. Thank you, Mike, for lighting the path and showing us the way.”

Jewett is survived by his wife, Jessica, and two children, Dillon and Madalynn. A celebration of life will take place on Wednesday, April 23, at Journey Church in Castle Rock, Colo. For more information, including condolences, tribute and donation details, click HERE.
