Hussmann has created a business development team focused on foodservice. Traditionally, the manufacturer, which is part Panasonic, has concentrated on grocers and convenience stores, offering everything from display cases to entire refrigeration systems.

Led by Kasey Klingensmith, the newly created team plans to bring new products to market for the foodservice channel while establishing new paths of distribution exclusively for foodservice, according to a release. Through these efforts, they aim to provide better service and expand into new markets and territories.

Sales representatives Lesa McKinney, Kelly McCombs and Jordyn Rivera will join Klingensmith. The team is supported cross-functionally by a robust marketing group, product managers and design engineers.

“This demonstrates a substantial investment in foodservice and product innovations,” says Aaron Harrington, vice president of sales—small format at Hussmann. “I am confident that we have the team in place to support this growing foodservice segment.”

Hussmann adds that it plans to expand its existing retail portfolio with foodservice-friendly options and enhancements. It also has geared up to support customers, dealers and consultants as they work to keep designs compliant with changing regulations.
