Hoshizaki Promotes 20-Year Employee
With the new appointment, the manufacturer says it’s committed to strengthening partnerships, expanding market reach and delivering ‘exceptional’ service.

Hoshizaki America’s Omar Marrero was announced as the company’s new regional sales director for the southeast region on Tuesday, Feb. 18.
With two decades at the manufacturer under his belt—including roles of sales manager, DC vice president and area sales manager—Marrero is “well-positioned to drive continued growth and success” in his new role, says Hoshizaki.
Prior to joining the company, Marrero was the owner and operator of a refrigeration export business and a walk-in cooler manufacturing company for 10 years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Florida International University, where he majored in both finance and international business.
“Omar’s extensive industry knowledge, leadership experience and dedication to our customers make him the perfect choice to lead the Southeast sales team,” says Scott Meyer, vice president of regional sales at Hoshizaki America. “We are excited for the future of the region under his direction.”
