GoTo Foods Introduces Cinnabon Swirl Concept
Marking the company’s first original concept, Cinnabon Swirl combines its brands Cinnabon and Carvel.

GoTo Foods has combined its brands Cinnabon and Carvel to create the concept Cinnabon Swirl.
The first location will open this May in Hillsboro, Ore., and three more are expected to open this year in Peoria, Ariz., Kennesaw, Ga., and Pasadena, Calif. Overall, more than 30 locations are in the pipeline.
“GoTo Foods has a unique competitive advantage by operating as a dynamic platform company with powerful enterprise engines including supply chain, technology and revenue management,” says Jim Holthouser, CEO at GoTo Foods, in the announcement. “This company is able to propel the success of our current portfolio of brands while also being able to instantly provide new concepts like Cinnabon Swirl with elevated resources to help drive the business.”
Cinnabon Swirl will feature classic menu items from Cinnabon and Carvel as well as signature items that can only be found at the concept. Signature menu items will include Bonini, a Cinnabon classic roll with Carvel vanilla soft serve in one warm-pressed treat, as well as Cinnabon Swirl sundaes, ice cream sandwiches and premium pints.
“Consumers are increasingly seeking new and unique irresistible desserts, and Cinnabon Swirl was conceptualized to meet this evolving demand,” says Jennifer Holwill, executive chef at Cinnabon.
