Carl Bachmann Leads East Coast Pizza Brand

Bachmann brings 30 years of experience, including roles at BurgerFi, Smashburger and Bertucci’s.

Carl Bachmann has taken on the role of president and COO at Riko’s Pizza, a Stamford, Conn.-based pizza concept with 12 units.

Bachmann most recently served as CEO at BurgerFi Int’l., which includes the brands BurgerFi and Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza. Prior to that, he spent six years at Smashburger where he served as COO and later, president and CEO. He also held operations positions at Bertucci’s and was once a franchisee of Ruby Tuesdays.

In his role at Riko’s Pizza, Bachmann will oversee the brand’s enterprise-wide operations and growth strategy, with a focus on accelerating scaling iniatitves and using insights to further resonate with its customer base. He’ll also champion the company’s franchisee development and success programs. Plus, he’ll be responsible for helping to build Riko’s Pizza into a national brand, while optimizing its operational standards and corporate culture.

Riko’s Pizza’s 12 restaurants (four corporate-owned and eight franchise-owned) are located across Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, New York and Vermont. The brand says it has other U.S. locations in the pipeline.
