Nine Products Honored At IHM&R Show

An Italian manufacturer’s unique heated food processor won the top award at the 95th annual International Hotel, Motel & Restaurant Show in November at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. Judges for the Editors’ Choice Awards program reviewed nearly 100 submissions of new, cutting-edge products within the categories of equipment and supplies, design, guest amenities, linens and technology, as well as an eco-friendly equivalent to each of those categories.

The Kenneth F. Hine "Best of Show" award and the top E&S award went to Hotmixpro-Cooking Pleasure of Modena, Italy, for HotmixPRO, which operates simultaneously as both a mixer for blending liquids and a cutter for chopping solid ingredients, and is complemented by a heating system for cooking and warming. The award for the “green” E&S heading went to Systemfiltration Inc. of Milford, N.J., for the VITO Oil Filter System. The Germany-based company says its system filters finer particles, leaving oil cleaner and extending life, cutting oil expense by as much as 50%.
