ABC HONORS SUPPLIERS OF THE YEAR

Allied Buying Corp.’s fall conference in Lombard, Ill., honored manufacturers for extraordinary contributions to the group. Supplier awards were determined by ABC dealers for quality of people, products, service level, order accuracy, warranty and return policies, and, of course, the companies’ general enthusiasm and support of the buying group.

ABC’s 2010 Suppliers of the Year (and runners-up) are:

• Light Equipment & Furnishings: Nemco Food Equipment (Cadco Ltd. and T&S Brass and Bronze)
• Heavy Equipment: Advance Tabco (Intermetro Industries)
• Supplies: Spill Stop and The Vollrath Co. (American Metalcraft)
• Tabletop: Service Ideas (Libbey Cos., including Libbey, Syracuse, Traex, World Tableware)

Bill O’Donoghue, v.p.-sales for Intermetro Industries, was named ABC’s Supplier Sales Executive of the Year. He received a bronze lion as a symbol of his dominance in the industry jungle.

ABC will host its spring conference at the Rancho Bernardo Inn in San Diego May 3-6.
