DEALERS JOIN VOLLRATH FOR PREVIEW OF VOLLRATH UNIVERSITY

Who says you can’t mix business and pleasure? More than 40 dealers visited The Vollrath Co. in Sheboygan, Wis., in mid-August to get a sneak peek of the company’s new training facility. Not coincidentally, the annual PGA Championship was being held up the road at Whistling Straits, and Vollrath just happened to be a sponsor.

President and CEO Paul Bartelt told dealers at a reception Wednesday, Aug. 11, that the facility is available for use not only by Vollrath but for dealers, consultants and operators who have need of such a venue. In addition to a stadium-style training room with full audio-visual capabilities, the facility includes a test kitchen and extensive displays of the company’s product lines, arranged in foodservice kitchen-like areas.

Paul Egbert, v.p.-marketing, told FER Dealer Report the company hopes the new center will help customers better understand the dramatic expansion of Vollrath’s product lines, especially in food preparation, cooking and serving equipment.
